Why isn't my "new" daughter on that list, damn it? She's awesome.

I admit, I can't help but smile to see our own Diana Hignutt at #7. She is awesome.

I can not be on any list ahead of Christine Jurgensen...its not possible...and there are a lot of people who I owe a great deal to...far below me on this list...it's not fair.

And, really Alexis Arquette the #1 "Best" transgender person? really?

I'm waiting for them to define the components of "best."

Maryn, settling in for a long wait

Well, that was my problem too. I could see a list with historically important transfolk on it, but this seems a little too...well popularity contest-ish for my tastes. Alexis Arquette and myself...do not belong anywhere near the top ten of such a list...

And, I'm sure your new daughter deserves a spot too!

I hope so--but if she could get a job in her field, it would go a long way toward her future greatness. The bias is palpable, she says.

Maryn, with a melodramatic sigh

Nowhere. Now here.
Yeah, this strikes me completely the wrong way. The structure of such a list ought to have some thought put into it first. As it is, it's really off putting.

Maybe, it was the cape in Alexis Arquette's pic that put her on top?...damn if only I had a cape...

It's nonsense, and somewhat offensive...

Apparently, capes help...

Actually, traditional Zuni dress for women is fairly cape-like...
