The ICC Cricket World Cup starts tomorrow.

I'm barracking for Australia, obviously, but who will we be playing in the final come the end of March? :tongue

My money's on England. Ian Bell will hit the winning six in the final. It will land in the top row of the MCG and score a direct hit on Kevin Pietersen's open mouth.

^ :D

Eoin Morgan's played some blinders here, he's the one that worries me.

I wouldn't worry about England. Our players are incapable of performing well in any weather conditions that you wouldn't find in Leeds in May (ie 15C with a chance of showers after lunch).

I'm thinking a SA/Aus final. India are rebuilding, Pakistan are erratic and England will shoot themselves in the foot as usual. NZ have a good chance but I reckon it's SA.

NZ's been playing quite well recently (almost a sign of the Apocalypse in itself) so I have hopes - but I don't want to get too excited. I've always said that there's no-one like the Black Caps for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

I'm listening to TMS and Aggers reckons that SL are being restrictive more than attacking.

It's not working though...... :D

Semi-congratulations to Zimbabwe for a great perfomance against SA. They lost but they put up a good fight.

Well done to India too.

Unfortunately, between India and Pakistan, it often is.....

Well done Ireland! That's brilliant news!

Heheh. England has been monstered by Southee. I'd feel bad for them - if I were a better person. :D

Not that I'm not still awaiting our inevitable collapse, but it won't be today.

I'm English and I don't feel bad for them! They are playing like total donkeys and don't deserve sympathy!

That horrified silence echoing from my living room was the sound of a group of people watching the Black Caps free fall back into their natural position of Again, Really?!

Saved by the skin of our teeth. Someone needs to buy Williamson a drink.

Don't think it was just the pitch, though there was bounce. More a 20-20 mindset.

That was only the second game we've had televised here on free to air - Australia v Afghanistan being washed out. Non Australia games are on pay tv (which I don't have). Bloody frustrating. How is it being televised in England?
