The Word Water by Cloudkicker

This guy is just amazing. Check him out here. It's name your price, free if you wish, or donate or buy an album (he's sold out of the vinyl! If only I listened to him before, I would have gotten Let Yourself Be Huge on vinyl!)

This is really good music. I love playing this sort of stuff in the car on long drives, and I have to travel a lot this month, so a new CD might be on the horizon for me. :) Thanks for turning me on to Cloudkicker. He reminds me of Explosions In The Sky.

His newer stuff is like that, his older is a bit more harsh. Still, very good.

"Velveteen" by Yoko Kanno

I just have to say: Yoko Kanno is one of the greatest composers alive, and possibly of all time. The woman is the Steve Jobs of the music industry (and this is coming from a apple hater!).

Not exactly like that. Finishing up a first draft in one shot, tying up all the ends all at once--that kind of day.

Vaka by Sigur Ros from the Heim EP

It's a day that I have to listen to my favorite bands to keep my head on straight, otherwise I'll break down and start terrorizing the town or something.

sounds productive, good for you, I've been spinning wheels trying to resuscitate my NaNo 1st draft.
Have you watched any of the open air SR vids? Keep coming back to this one:

Sigur Ros - Olsen Olsen - HD

The Tallest Man on Earth (the band) - The gardener (the song)

Gotta love raiding someone's music collection!

Yeah I have. I've also got all of their live shows, that were recorded, on DVD.

Festival by Sigur Ros (woke up, hit play and resumed)

'guy's awesome. But, I still like his demo EP far better than anything he put out.
He was also good in the Montezumas

Ok, take second-hand korean vinyl, mix on a turntable with fresh beats and create magic.

Oh, oh, and he left in the static. :D

Derringer - Three pieces

Can anyone tell me more about this band? Google only gives me links to Rick Derringer and Miss Derringer, both of which are good but this is a different band.
