And my 5th podcast episode is up with yet another Purgie!

If you wonder where I am lately, it's working all my social media and all the stuff I told you about before. I spend time formatting posts for my guests on the blog and the podcast and a ton of other stuff. The only real writing I'm doing is in my head. *sigh* I miss it.

lily pie, have you tried baked
cheetos? i swear you can't tell the
difference. or if you can, it is still SO
good and you can indulge without feeling
like it is terrible. =)

i used to drink a coke a day in my 20s.
then i weeded that out of my diet. easiest
thing is the pop stuff to lower calories
and sugar intake. alcohol is easy for me too--
but know it's asking a lot for most of you. ha!

blondie, you can totally do this!
hoorah for the break through!

okay, sending sequel pages to crit group
and starting on another novel critique
as well.

lily pie, interesting!
i find them crunchy still--
not like cheese puffs or pirates
bootay. but it might not be as crunchy
as original. but you know, give or take.
i've eaten like a dozen full sized bags since
i discovered them. haha! (well, over 18 months
time but...)

eta: i also don't like potato chips. or doritos
much. again, win for me. ha!

Crunchy cheetos are lovely.
But, what I really really miss are Ruffles. I miss a big bag of Ruffles and a tub of bacon/horseradish or French onion dip.

*drools*

It's great your family is being so supportive, Caleb.

I'm glad I'm eating lunch because otherwise this conversation would kill me. I'm also not an artificial sweeteners gal. I lived off Diet Coke for years (not a hyperbole), and then one day a few years ago it started making me sick. It was a very sad day. Since then, I've started drinking tea and seltzer water in the can instead.

I also don't like GS cookies. But I'm not a sweets person. I also don't go crazy for chips. I did recently discover that Kashi makes cookies, and these things are the most delicious cookies I've ever had. My vice food is cheese. Queso fundido is my biggest weakness, especially when it's fried in the cast-iron skillet so you get that crispiness to it.

Damn, now my Lean Cuisine looks really sad.

Cheetos are SOOO good. I spent most of my childhood with orange fingertips and lips.:D I don't eat them anymore, but once in a blue moon I get the baked ones. They are yummy.

Pirates Booty is GOOD too. My kids love it.

What's Pirate's Booty? Is that like Poppycock?

ETA: Oh, I missed that Lily said it's a chip. Huh! I've never seen that before. Sounds good.

Caleb, that is great news about your family. And that you recognized what you needed to do, and are doing it. Good on all of you.

I don't like artificial sweeteners either! I actually don't have much of a sweet tooth. I save it for wine. :D But yeah, Mexican Coke! Soooo much better...

Dragon's podcasts are a lot of fun to do!

poppy cock? haha!

pirate's bootay is delicious cheese
puff treats that are more natural and
supposedly more healthy.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pirate's_Booty

i was addicted to them for a while.
but i cycle through my snacks every 1.5 years,
when i tire of them. right now it is baked
cheetos and pumpkin seeds. =)

Holy crapola, guys. So this cleaner? I hired her for 3 hours every Monday. She blew through my entire list of stuff in 2.5 hours. And yeah, I paid her the full amount. My house is cleaner than it has ever been, including when we moved in here. I couldn't have gotten that done in three DAYS.

Man, it is just so nice to have a clean house. It feels so overwhelming when everything is such a huge mess and you don't even know where to start. Now I feel like maybe I could start organizing the bookshelves or a closet!

Also, I am now in possession of cheetos. ::Crunch::

I just had some Pirate's Booty today because some child left it in my handbag after a birthday party. And you know what? The Trader Joe's White Cheddar Puffs are so much better! Pirate's Booty is rice and corn and TJ's is just corn -- they taste a lot more like Jax with a more genuine cheese flavor and don't stain your fingers. Pirate's Booty is more styrofoam-y and has a slight artificial-cheese taste.

TJ's also makes sour cream and chive version but we like the White Cheddar.

$65 for a house cleaner? The only time I have hired them they were two or three times that, and these are not large houses -- 1,500 square feet at most. So California does have some things cheaper than here.

Or maybe I'm just a sucker.

Since I already got myself in hot water over at PoC, it's probably unwise to mention that the immigrant population often undervalues the worth of their labor...

Maryn, who did it anyway
