You never know what will make a difference. That's why you should always always ALWAYS research and do the math.

Space makes things easy. Everything are a few simple equations away.

You don't need to agonize over whether or not an orbiting screw will smash through someone's head.

All you need to do is plug in the numbers into

Kinetic Energy = Mass Times Velocity Squared.

(It comes out to roughly the energy of a hand grenade. So yes. Yes, it would kill you).

There are other things that are squishy and harder to research and write. Which only makes researching them MORE important, so you can do your best.

That's my biggest fear that I'm going to write this book and just completely fuck up my depiction of PTSD...

You might not. Some people might. Those people will be glad I took the time.

Para is always on about the spreadsheets. Well, I'm allllllll about the research. It's never a bad idea.

No, you're right, research is good.

I'm just saying I don't really care about what you're talking about right now. The science fiction, that is. Not my bag.

That's okay! I need to sleep either way...

But yeah, I've said a lot of mad things, and I think the bigger reason why I'm mad at the Hunger Games is...well, it has good prose and a nifty idea. It just bungled it and that makes me sad.

But fortunately, I have something that makes me happy.

KITTIES!

And now I sleep.

Goodnight! <3 <3 <3

Morning team.

I'm not always on about the spreadsheets. I maintain a peaceful silence unless somebody asks. :tongue

Haha. I'm like... At 602, and I joined before her. Well then!

I'm not very active here, I guess.

A world of pure imagination...
I joined before a lot of people, and have fewer posts. I wasn't active for a few months, came back, and have been kinda active since then (on a semi-regular basis).

ETA I'm kinda sore today, but that's okay. We went to one of the reservoirs up here last night, and I let the romantic in me talk me into swimming out to try and meet the sun's reflection as it set. It was tiring, but good. :D

My younger sister and her friend are downstairs playing "Sing It!" for Wii. They are really... Tone deaf. It's ruining my reading time, which my mother said was "cram". My and my dad are the only people who read in my house :/

The TARDIS (I hope)
I'm semi-active. There are times when I lurk, there are times when I spend every waking hour on here, and then there are times where I'm lazy and unmotivated and don't go on here at all.
I also didn't post in AW until like 6 months after I made my account.

Less of a conversation and more of me being a brat.

I have sort of a reputation for getting very annoyed by Zoom, and that's not a secret to anybody.

I guess that's just my immaturity though. Working on that.

Man, I kind of think I need a beta reader just to make sure everything's semi-accurate... or at least makes sense.

ETA:

Arthur Darvill can sing. Someone just linked me.
