There she goes...

Well, as you might of known my first poetry chapbook was picked up by a small press called Salvatore Publishing - Was published in April and now 7 months later that small press is now out of business.... So no more Snapshots of Life - it has been taken down from the press and is available on Amazon still but now at an inflated price... Sad day as my first chapbook is now... out....of....print....

The good news is that my second chapbook which was accepted by boston literary magazine will be coming out in two or three weeks - So some good news but still - So long Snapshots!

Thanks to all of you who picked up a copy when she was available, much appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your book at Salvatore but happy for you about Boston's ability to appreciate fine poetry!

Thanks mags - Sad to see "out of print" but hey, i guess that is the world of micro press and small press publishing. I am greatful for the exposure it provided me just wish she had a little more time as the second book is coming out was hoping to get some more attention to the first as well with the promotion i have planned. Also, now there is really no more copies being printed so whatever I have is all i will ever have. I had a bunch printed so i can have and send/sell in the future but now there is a bottom.

I am really happy that boston picked up the second chapbook. They do real hand made print chapbooks - i really like them and can't wait to see the first copy!

Casey, can't you get your first one published somewhere else now that the old place is dead?

Best of luck, Casey! The road of the poet has never been an easy one.

I just had a story accepted for a Salvatore Publishing Christmas-themed anthology, which now won't happen. I never understood the business model of a publishing house doing their "publishing" through Lulu. I didn't worry about it since I was donating the story (the proceeds of the anthology were supposed to go to a children's charity).

Thanks Blarg and Manuel - Yup, small/micro press, the home of the poet. Sad but true - Blarg, there is a lot of competition to getting a chapbook published, most small presses will not release something as a second edition unless you are Billy Collins. So it is pretty much dead, maybe down the road if i ever get to do a collection, i would include poems from it but never as a book on its own again -

Also MR, I told the organizer of that anthology I could help out if she wanted it to keep the book in motion - who knows, I had a story in that anthology as well -

(Kick...kick....kick) -- that rhythmic sound is me kicking myself for not getting around to buying a copy when I could.

Well, good luck with the next 99 books, especially the one with Boston Literary.
