Steve Swindells, from Fresh Blood (original vinyl) Shot Down in the Night

This album remains my single all-time favorite.

Back when I was DJing, every time I'd play a cut off it, I'd get a spate of calls asking if this was a new Springsteen album. No, Springsteen ain't near this good. ;) Or this cute. :D

"From Little Things Big Things Grow" by Paul Kelly and Kev Carmody, about the Wave Hill walk-off that Gurindji man Vincent Lingiari instigated, which began the modern push for Aboriginal land rights. Today is the memorial service for our ex-PM Gough Whitlam. It's amazing to think on what was achieved back then, through dialogue between Lingiari and that tall fella.

Those were heady times. We won't see them again. :(

ETA: Helix's link is a better version. Thanks H.
