The flexible, terminal extensions of a hominid’s upper appendage, when not actively employed, constitute an atelier for one considered to wield an extremely negative force.

An idle brain is the devil's workshop.

ETA: or, Idle hands are the devil's tools.

(terminal extensions suggest hands, but atelier suggests workshop?)

You got it, LA*78. :banana:

The saying exists in several forms. I was going for "Idle hands are the Devil's workshop."

Gretta was very depressed. Her eyes would water, her three teeth had cavities, her right knee was swollen and her right arm couldn't carry heavy weights. The doc's bills would rise and rise.

Then she bought an Iphone and her throat became clear. The next day she bought an Ipod and her ears healed. One by one she bought Steve Jobs products each day and her doctor visits reduced to zero.

She's got a bee in her bonnet.

The contents of a round, deep container of earthenware or metal, typically equipped with handles, will not change from a liquid to a gaseous state, producing bubbles that rise to the surface, agitating the surface as they rise and not infrequently producing a perceptible amount of steam that dissipates in the environs, no matter how long it is observed.

A watched pot never boils.

There was a woman who owned a chain of hotels called 'Essential' Hotels. She used to stay in those hotels and in the tabloids and social circle her name had become Ms Essential. She had nine kids, their names were...

Be aware that what is seen in this reflective surface can be interpreted as being closer in proximity than its actual physical location.

:hooray:

~~~~~~~
Positioning one's body down, horizontally beside a mammal of the Canidae family will have one arising in the morning after a good stretch, bust scratching unbearably in places all over with an unwanted nuisance.
