In an effort to resolve an ongoing debate I'm hoping members can assist with advice on the following.

In the following sentence should the word "results" actually be "result" with no s?

We provide experiences that not only results in confident young people, but also nurtures individuals.

It should be result, and it should be nurture, not nurtures.

Experiences result and nurture.

Those result in, and nurture people.

Those do not results in and nurtures.

Yep, "experiences" is plural, so it should be result and nurture.

If the sentence said: "We provide an experience that not only results in confident young people, but also nurtures individuals."

it would be correct with "results" and "nurtures."

One experience results in confident young people

Several experiences result in confident young people.

Mind you, I can't help looking at the verb "to result" and wonder if it could be replaced by something a little more direct. How about ... "We provide experiences that give young people more confidence."
