Katherine Howe is the New York Times-bestselling author of The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane and The House of Velvet and Glass. I recently interviewed her here (it's a video interview, with her cockatiel squawking in the background!) and thought I would share the link. She has some really useful things to say about working with primary sources--and she knows what she's talking about: large portions of Deliverance Dane were set in the early Americas, while Velvet and Glass is set in the period following the Titanic disaster.
I hope other writers enjoy the interview--it's not often we get to hear a bestselling writer speak in such detail about her work with sources. Enjoy!
