I suppose that would be kind of like finding a Picasso in your attic...only less exciting, because a Picasso would fetch way more on the open market...piss poor analogy really. :tongue

It's been a quiet old weekend in here, what is Cliff doing...having a life or something outrageous like that?

*cups hands to mouth* CLLLLIIIIIIIFFFFFFF!

There has been No Sex At All for 2245 words, that's a whole chapter...OMG!

In the middle of a touching scene, with a few more interesting ones to come. I predict No Sex in ch 14 too.

What will ch 15 bring? Stay tuned for the answer and more irrelevant drivel exciting questions...:tongue

You rang?

Erm, no, I haven't really been having a life... well, okay, during the week I was kind of busy with work and study. But today I did bugger all.

I even had a 2-hour nap around noon, lol. The rest of my day has been spent watching Becker season 2. Almost ALL of season 2, in fact.

Though I did do some grocery shopping. I didn't get everything I wanted, but I got enough to keep me fed for a while yet. Stupidly, we bought chicken (not a whole chicken, just a few thighs, skinless) for cooking with pasta or rice - and we forgot to get any pasta/rice sauce. So there'll be no Italian or Chinese meals until I buy some sauce. *sigh*

Tomorrow I shall have somewhat more activity than today, but only because I'm going Outlet Mall shopping with mum and nanna (it's a public holiday down here tomorrow - Adelaide Cup Day, apparently - so I don't have to work).

I don't imagine I'll buy much... I only have $20 to my name, and owe mum $30 for groceries for when I get paid on Tuesday. Normally I'd be paid Monday, but y'know, public holiday and all that...

But I might wind up getting a new pair of shorts or a nice work shirt or something tomorrow. I mean, it's Outlet Mall shopping - you can usually find a bargain there. And Goddess knows I need new clothes...

*pours 4 coffees and uncorks a cheeky shiraz* :)

Oh, and I hit a new record with my smoking today. It's getting close to bed time, and I've only smoked 10 cigarettes today. With any luck, I'll have enough will-power to go to bed without a bed-time-cigarette like I normally have. But even if I have #11, that's still equal-best-effort. I've only had 1 day in about 4 weeks of cutting back where I only had 11 cigarettes.

*celebrates*

If I can keep up the 10-11 per day rate, I'll be quite happy with sticking with that for quite some time. That's half what I was smoking just 4 weeks ago, so I'll be saving half my smoking money at that rate. Which I'm sure will just go to groceries and bills... *sigh*

But hey, it's still progress. Apart from this massive electric bill, I've managed to pay all the bills that have come in these last 4 weeks in 1 fortnight. It used to be 2-3 fortnights that it would take me to pay off the bills...

:)

How's everyone else doing?

Sounds like a fun day Cliff.:)

Hope you find something great for your $20 tomorrow.

I, as always, have been writing. Ch13 is 2623 words and still going...and I now have a giant plot bunny gnawing away at my brain threatening to turn into another contemporary fantasy novel...

I wish someone would pay me to write. *sighs*

Oh well it is added motivation to finish and sub the smut. Nothing like having something itching to be born to get the wind up you...

Oh, I used to love Aliens! Actually, I loved the whole series when I was in High School... But Aliens was my favourite of the 4 movies. Good old SF/Horror flicks! :D

Morning Australia! *pours 5 coffees* Mmm mmm, nothing better early in the morning than some nice hot coffee. :)

God, I love those movies. Just...awesome, and in the truest sense of the word too.:)

And of course, the best bit about knowing what happens is shouting 'don't go in there!' xyz will happen if you do, then saying told you so to the character as they die.

Okay, I need to get out more, don't I?:D

*snags coffee* Sluuuuuurp....ahhh thanks Cliff.

I went on a movie binge in Year 12. There was this video store near my house, and that year I went in so often that I knew most of the workers by name.

My favourite rentals were all the Scream movies, other slasher flicks, the Alien movies, the Predator movies, movies set in college, and as many Jackie Chan movies as I could get my hands on.

Although I once tried to rent an R-rated movie (not porn exactly, but the label did say Sex Scenes and Nudity ;)) when I was 17. It was rather embarrassing when they asked for my ID. I just looked surprised on purpose and said, "What? Is this an R-rated movie? Oh golly, I didn't realise that!" I was probably blushing quite a bit, too. :p

morning all *Grumble*

I am training my replacement this week. So, that was a nice little surprise for monday morning. Charming. So, yeah. She's lovely actually, but of course I can't sit here and jabber on about random stuff when she's sitting right next to me.

She's on her lunch break right now ;)

Oh lol! I was wondering what happened to you.:)

Way to ruin your last week, what? How rude. Don't they realise you have a submission to polish?

No more updates on smut for you then... not that there has been any since the last lot.

I am loving the world building though. *slaps self* Did I just say that? OMG! and it's true.

still no word from AR I keep checking my emails, waiting for the big R from them...it's straining my nerves somewhat.

And I ramble, because I miss you.:D

mmm Coffee - thanks Cliff :)

Glad to hear everyone's weekend was ok. Me? I was putting a Tv I was giving to mum in to the boot of my little Yaris and the hatch mustn't have been up all the way when I lifted the TV up from the ground. Sooooo I smacked my boofhead into it and cut my head :( .. Luckily I have a hard head so it only made a little cut and not much blood but the family got a laugh out of it.

Damn MM, imagine working getting in the way of AW - how rude! :D. Funny though as I've been writing this post for the last 25 mins. Damn phone keeps ringing with users wanting stuff.

Okay, so right after I logged off and turned the computer off, mum informed me that nanna cancelled our shopping trip. Perfect timing as usual...

So I watched some more Becker instead of just turning the computer right back on. :)

In any event, mum is out picking up the grandparents so they can come here and help with some gardening. Which means I'll have to help with the gardening. I hate gardening so much! When I get my own place, I'm having only a bare minimum of garden. No grass, just a few flowers in a small patch of ground. And I'll get a gardener to tend to them once a fortnight so I don't have to bother. I really don't have a green thumb!

So pretty soon I'll be straining and sweating in the garden, dodging spiders and flies coming at me from every angle. Instead of Outlet Mall shopping... *sigh*

*listens to as much metal as possible before getting stuck in the garden*

Not to mention I need someone to do blow by blow updates for...;)

Riordan is now called Reardan--they mean the same thing so it's all good.

And Elaine has just had 'the dream' you know, the one that changes everything and will soon make the three of them miserable for a while.

Not miserable enough to preclude bonking, of course.:tongue

nothing can make romance characters miserable enough to preclude bonking. Not even killing a guy buy sucking out his fear and filleting him like a fish, apparently...

LOL

Well, I've done a fair bit of heavy work in the garden, and then I found the electric screwdriver in the shed. That meant I could spend 40 minutes finishing putting together my bookcase, at last!

It's not a perfect build, but it seems strong enough to be worth the $25 I spent on it. And I've transferred about 20-30 books into it from my bedroom bookcase. The new one has free space on all 4 shelves (not a lot of free space, but free space nonetheless) and the bookcase in my bedroom has a little space on the top shelf, half a shelf free on shelves 2 and 3 (which amounts to quite a bit of space, actually!) and then the bottom shelf has almost all my unread books in a stack, right next to my guitar amp.

I'm very happy. :) I can buy new books now, and actually have a place to put them! Such a novelty!

Of course, there's an additional 5 unread books on my nightstand... whoops. I should probably get around to reading them instead of just re-reading all my favourite books. :D

One of these weeks I'm going to spend every free moment reading. It might have to be before April's Script Frenzy - if I can get my outline done in time. Otherwise, in May, when I've got nothing special planned. :)

So many unread books!

Sounds like a highly productive day indeed.

Ahhh reading, *glances to shelf chokkas with TBR books* I'll do that again...one day. Well I have read smut, but that doesn't count. That's 'research'. *nods head* yes, research.;)

Mind you, the last two UF's I've tried to read I haven't been able to finish.

Might give Wicked Lovely a shot, ahead of it's place in the queue (which is in order of the books arrival at my door) seeing as you recommended it Cliff.

I need to have my faith in the publishing industry restored...:)

God I need a drink after the day I had.

The girl was lovely but I had to go round and introduce her to everyone. Like wow, awkward.

And my last week is going to be spent in semi awkward silence. Growl.

I'm going home, cracking some wine. Watching bones. *mutters viciously*

Well, the grandparents bought me fish and chips for dinner, which was nice. :)

I'm tempted right now to just start reading a book... but I should probably work on my outline, or at least spend some more time with the old people.

:)

Well, the did spring for dinner--you kind of have to put out at least a little lol!

What's the relative version of first base?

Oh God! I clearly need to step away from the smut for a while.

Mph stoopid page won't let me do emoticons...
