OMG, the Potoo looks like a cross between Gonzo the Muppet and a Skeksis.

Obviously, I am reeling from caffeine burnout right now. And stress. And being within seven pages of compressing a fairly important story into its target wordcount.

Any room in there for humanoid insects?

My favorite furry book was the (long gone, alas) Shanda the Panda, which included in its cast anthropomorphic spiders, butterflies, a silkworm (silk moth after she hit puberty) and Shanda's BFF, a lesbian cricket.

Ehh, why not! INSECTS ARE IN! I may have stated earlier in the story that insects aren't around, but I can just edit that. My story can be inclusive!

...now I'm wondering if I should open up requests for specific relationships and genders on the furries...

Augh!

I broke the list! I wrote a character as a bear instead of a bat.

...but to be fair, I needed a big, intimidating predator for a scene.

I am still writing this!

And...in fact...I have hit PART TWO!

This is where we transition from the "oh god, the virus is changing everyone" to "spaaaaaaaaaaaaaace!" bit!

That means skintight spacesuits!

Is this going to be like in comic books, where even the reptiles have boobs?

In my shapeshifter universe, the male reptile shifters keep their equipment in pouches. When my snake shifter's naked, he looks like a Ken doll, which comes in handy because he performs at the local club in drag. Feel free to use this idea for your reptilians, if you think it would make a funny scene (because it does!).

Of course reptiles have boobs!

...mostly because all the fur/scalies/whatever can interbreed, and have human children - and thus, boobs are needed. Then when the children hit puberty, the virus alters them into a fur.

Hence why, say, a wolf and a goat can have a stingray. It was just a human for 12-14 years and then became a stingray at puberty.

That's kind of what happens with teenagers...

WE DID IT!

WE HIT THE CUTTLEFISH!

Some people doubted that I'd ever get to the cuttlefish! WELL, THE CUTTLEFISH IS IN THE BOOK!

And not even as a background character! He's a seconday!

I'm gonna try and publish this OFFICIALLY!

Or o-fish-ally!

And the fish wear breather units around their necks, like Abe Sapian from Hellboy!

Within the fandom, or on something like Amazon?

BTW, if you write short stories, there are a couple of anthologies that are regularly open in the fandom.

I have a longstanding tradition: Don't think about where you're gonna put a story till it's done.

Though, I am currently...concerned.

The story is broken into three acts: Plague, Pride, and Precipice. Each one is in a different time period.

Plague is the near future, and covers the plague changing humanity into panhumanity (furries and scalies and such). Pride is about the war between the United States and the Pride, who are basically predator supremacists. Precipice is about when the aliens who created the virus show up and the various sects of Panhumanity have to work together against their new enemy.

I'm not sure how erotica readers will feel about three sets of characters. Or time skips - time skips are actually something that I, as a reader, never like because they make me feel discombobulated and unreasonably depressed...

...hey, I could always expand each third into a full book if anyone asks...

I actually don't have a title, at all.

My working title on the doc is "With beam and fang" but I hate it.

My sig-title is "UNTITLED FURRY THING!!!!!"

And I introduce it to my friends IRL with, "UNTITLED SPACE OPERA FURRY EROTICA!!!!" in all caps.

Do you think P3 would work as a title?

OT this is what confuses me about the Argonians from TES. Why do the lizard-women have boobs? Like, are they actually mammals with reptilian characteristics? Or reptiles that have developed lactation in a marvel of convergent evolution?

Does evolution even exist in The Elder Scrolls universe? sorry, I haven't read all 10,000 pages of back-lore scattered around Skyrim, I only collect the books to decorate my house and keep my wife occupied while I go adventuring.
