KFC has a chicken fried steak, potatoes, gravy, biscuit, and slaw every Wed. for $1.99. I usually eat that for lunch at work on Wednesdays.

Okay, no one judge, but I like these instant ones they have at the grocery store. They are so good. I don't know what they are called, but the only ingredient is: potatoes, so they can't be that bad.Me too. I love, love, love homemade mashed potatoes.

But, yeah, I guess you're right there.
A nice trick to do with instant is to mix them with sour cream and butter as you whip them up. It adds richness. A lot of restaurants do that.
