So these folks don't represent fantasy I see. Any kind of fantasy? Would they be open to urban fantasy/paranormal?

Cheering you all on!
I think all their partials come back signed by the agency.

Ah... thanks Sage.

Roly - Mine is multi-cultural but could also fall gently into the urban fantasy camp. I don't fit neatly into any genre but still decided to query. If you think you have a good story to tell and it could possibly cross genres, then I would say go for it!

They did reply to my query & first 10 with a request for 50 without mentioning how to send. I just checked their webpage and they are "green" so snail is not a factor. Like I said, just thinking I don't want the e-mail to be too bulky! Hmmm...

For partials, it's usually okay to send an attachment.

AW. A very nice place!
... no response = NO!!!

At least that was my experience on a partial 2 years back, and then on a query just recently.

My partial, requested by Adriana Dominguez on 2/16/10, was just turned into a full

Don't despair. The only other report on query tracker before I updated today was a nine day response.

They appear to have a new agent, Sara Sciuto.

"Sara is actively building her list with a focus on middle grade and young adult, in particular dystopian, science fiction, urban fantasy, and paranormal."

If you're querying those genres she might be worth a shot. I just queried her, I'll let you all know how it turns out.

I'll be hosting an interactive interview with Ms. Sciuto tomorrow, June 22, on my blog. If you have a question for her, feel free to hop on over and ask it!

(I won't be back to post a direct link tomorrow, as I have limited Internet access at the moment, but the interactive part will run from 10:00 a.m. EDT to 8:00 p.m. EDT tomorrow.)

I queried Adriana Dominguez on March 13. She (well, the agency) requested a full 5 days later, which I sent immediately. I haven't heard a peep since. I sent a status query last Monday (3 months from the original query) but still haven't heard back. I understand that no response = no, but that's not true on requested material, is it?

EQ'd Sara Sciuto today. Will keep all of you posted. Best of luck to those who are waiting on responses to partials and fulls!

Seems their policy on responding to queries might have changed - I received a polite rejection a couple days ago, even though they say they only respond if interested.

Not so sure all agents have changed. I queried A.D. over 2 months ago and she never responded.
