Please keep these basic principles firmly in mind when visiting P & CE:

If a post pisses you off, don't respond without asking yourself:

  • Am I usually irritated when I read a post about this subject?
  • Am I usually irritated when I read a post by this member?

If either answer is yes, take five minutes and think about the "why?"

  • Why do I react this way?
  • Can the "why" be addressed in thread or does it need its own thread?
  • Should it be addressed in thread?
  • Should I just hit the report post?
    report.gif
    button?
  • Should I put the member on Ignore?

Then ask yourself: "Is my response meant to add to the discussion or am I just responding to the post/person that pissed me off?"

We can't answer these questions for you, we each have to answer them for ourselves. Besides, you wouldn't want us to answer for you.

Remember, our goal is to bring light, not merely heat, to discussions.
