Looking in the door, I see the sawdust on the floor is saturated in spit. I'm about to move on when I see the bottle of Grand Old Parr on the shelf behind the bar. It won't be made for another thirty years or so, I'm guessing, but we don't worry about those pesky little details around here.

Watching my step as I cross the room, I tell the barkeep, "Double shot, neat," which goes without saying because there ain't no ice yet. At least not in this God-forsaken hell hole.

Its the glowing, demonic eyes. Anyone who has called him out gets mesmerized by those eyes and forget to draw. That, and he shot the other marshal while he was shootin pool. Haggis thought he was pointin a rifle at him. His first words after the shootin was, "Well, don't that beat all? It was a stick! Guess I'll just take this here badge... To protect it, ya'll understand."
