OMG.

freaking out here because... I just finished writing the first draft my novel!!!

:partyguy: :hooray: :snoopy:

I have been working on this thing for AGES and I've totally missed the boat on this whole dystopia trend but I'm still happy!

Posted this here but back when I started I was still young enough to post in the TWFT thread!

Congratulations on completing the first draft, iherzi. That is an accomplishment. You wrote a novel!

Congratulations on the GPA, Smiley. Hope you are feeling better.

Glad you had a nice birthday, Sage. A little sugar overload makes it less tempting the rest of the year. You are good until Halloween.....maybe the 4th of July,.

Good dystopias will never be dead. They've been around a long time, and they're not going anywhere. Don't let any naysayers tell you differently! A good book is a good book.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I was actually never really turned on by the dystopian society idea, but after devouring THG series, I'm wanting to read more like it! Weird, because I'm a die hard Anne Rice kind of girl.

I got my first royalty check yesterday!

This is exciting! Congrats!

All right, time to finish this Austin stuff, then I'll print this baby out for a pre-beta polish.

Gah, I just realized some conflict I want Austin to have that is totally not there at all (although I have the makings of it). This means I have to rewrite some of his later scenes again!

Rewrite, Sage, you can do it! *Karate Kid motions* :tongue

I'm reading F@ult in 0ur $tars and trying to figure out why people cry at this book... I am really really liking it and I got to the sad part but...maybe I'm just not a book-crier?

Don't get me started on my apathy for cancer characters.

I don't have a clue where to start making this change. I might have to sleep on it, which is too bad.

ETA: No, I'm being stupid and lazy. I know where the change has to go. Sigh.

Go for it, Sage!

I am needing some serious pumping to get back on both my revision and my WIP. I've spent more time futzing with my blog lately than either of them (but I have really cool drop-down text now! Sparkly!)

I can do this, right? These books are worth it.
