Can a college student be the protagonist of the YA?

Unless it's a science fiction mystery.

But yes I couldn't see why early college couldn't go either way.

Err...darn it. I was hoping my 20 yr old protagonist would be considered YA, but I guess not.

Not that my book is acceptable for very young readers anyway. What with all the psychological torture. But I don't think my story really fits traditional NA either, though.

I wish genre didn't exist and instead it was "good literature" and "crappy literature." Life would be easier.
