This is for the March release of a hot fantasy romance set in Africa, and Loose Id's artist nailed the cover. I specified that I wanted the heroine to look like Gina Torres in Firefly and for the hero to have a tattoo, and I got just what I needed.

Heh. The story started with her trying to kill him, which pushed him to the point where he was ready to return the favor... but they ended up liking each other a lot more eventually.

It's kind of the opposite, actually. In their world, the Mark appears on people who have a certain disease that's transmitted by touch. The hero has the Mark, but the heroine is immune, so she's one of the very few people who can't be marked by him.

Or so she thinks.

She's immune, so she's responsible for protecting uninfected people. Except because there's no cure, she has no choice but to kill anyone who's carrying the contagion.

But he doesn't think of himself as diseased, and he sure as hell isn't ready to die just yet.
