In my novel, I have a Portuguese-speaking character (a young boy) come up to my MC (an Englishman) and ask where his (the boy's) grandfather is. I admit that I Googled the expression, but I want to make sure I got it right:
One thing I'm wondering is whether that should be "Onde esta ..." (like Spanish), or some other alternative.
If it's relevant, the setting is Brazil, 19th century.
Thanks!
