Recalculating....
To quote someone (I can't remember who) on Twitter:

"Cosplay for me is anytime I'm not in sweatpants."

That kind of day.

Which of us broke the Cantina, LadyV? You, or me?

BTW: back from church, anybody miss me?

I still haven't decided whether to start writing today, or let the outline marinate a little first. I'll figure it out after lunch.
Let's just say it was me this time.

I know what cosplay is, but what does the name stand for? Costume play?

ION: I got my tea and classical music. Looks like I'm ready to write. :chores

How very British of you. :tongue On the opposite end of the spectrum, I'm being weirdly motivated to write by chocolate milkshakes and the kind of music you'd hear in a very stereotypical gay club.

Admittedly it's a story I'm very hesitant to work on due to issues of decency, but the point still stands.

Still, different strokes for different folks indeed. :D

Uh... I am possibly dressed as a lumberjack from the Monty Python sketch. Don't ask. :)

Yep.

European techno? Seems that is what gets played a lot.

Weirdly, the last time I was in a gay club they had some sort of drum 'n' bass / rap hybrid music with German lyrics, so stereotypical doesn't cover everything which gets played. Having noted that, there are a few places where jazz is the music of choice...

Well I'm listening to the Queer as Folk soundtracks. That's about as stereotypically gay as club music gets in my personal experience. Wouldn't know what they actually play in gay clubs since I've never actually been in one...

...and it always makes me feel weird when I know straight men who have been in more gay clubs than I have. I feel like I'm not being a very good homosexual, as moronic as that idea is.

Maybe this is why so many of my fleeting romance ideas seem to be set quite prominently in such establishments. Wish fulfillment and al that jazz. :tongue

They're exactly the same as other clubs, with precisely the same chance of me hooking up with a woman.

Even before I got together with a certain someone. :)

I have had too many weird dreams since 3am. Including one where Bettie was strongly implying Hillz was her secret identity. Then she was saying Mac was about to shut down the Hillz account. Everyone was confused and I was mad because both Bettie and her alter alias were in the SS. Then I realized Hillz wasnt real and got sad

 I'm not???

:Wha:

That would make me sad. We need the awesomeness of BOTH.

You think you're sad! Try being the unreal one!

I must clean today. Then I must write. But cleaning has to happen, as the dust bunnies are starting to demand that I take them to the vet.

Hello, Dr. Thredson? I think I need to start having regular appointments again. Yes, as soon as possible. Okay, thank you. I'll see you Thursday.

British gangster stories.

DOOOOOO EEEEEEETTT! I would read that shizz like nobody's business!!

A can of beer would have been nice after finishing all those reviews, but unfortunately none in the flat.

I know the feeling. All the time. All the time. Except, with bottles of beer instead of cans, 'cause only the local brewery makes it bitter enough for my preferences.

I find it amusing that you picked a kiwi emblem and bird for this, given it has nothing to do with Aus :p That there belongs to New Zealand. We call them kiwis too, as a nick name.

Awwwwwkwaaaard. :D

It's alright, an Australian pal trying to plan a trip last year asked me, "Where is Vancouver in relation to you?"

When I've needed to I write the dialogue as if I was just writing a drunk adult. You'd be surprised how similar the stuff they say is.

This, uh... This explains so much about children...

I've decided to work Dust Bunny into my current work-in-progress. I've yet to decide if it ends up eating a magical flower and gains ice-breath powers. :D

Ah, it's one of those nights where the girlfriend and I are in the mood for pasta but aren't quite sure what kind of pasta we want.
