I wrote stuff! Actual coherent words that are part of a story!
It's a pretty big victory for me this month. 535 words and I'm still writing. (I should be doing a biochemistry assignment, but that's so incredibly boring I just can't handle it today.)
Great job liz, asroc and Saoirse! I wrote a short scene yesterday. 280 words. Then I felt hopeful and wrote a 200-word query. I'm 3/4 finished with this book and need to tighten the plot. Synopsis is next.
Finally hit the 10k mark, only close to 2 weeks late. =/ I hate how this always seems to happen. I'll do great for a week or so then completely lose steam and everything grinds to halt. I've done 1-200 words here or there until today. I was ahead of schedule, but now I'll just barely make it if I can keep a steady output from now on. Meh.
Still working, hopefully I will at least hit my minimum requirement for the day...
857 and I'm officially done for the night. Past my minimum and even a bit over my required average, so that's something. Going to try to up my average for the rest of the week at least.
DragonHeart, 10k is awesome! I have the same problem, though. If I'm interrupted for any length of time, I have a hell of a time getting back into the flow. But you will. Just give it time.
Big fat 0 for me yesterday. Wrist was not a happy wrist. Gonna try to do something today.
This has been rather a rubbish month for writing, but I've had two early-morning writing sessions on the trot this week. Mostly due to the usual train I catch to work being unreliable of late, so I've taken to catching the earlier one.
And I have managed to edit 5 chapters on the WIP this week. So progress has been made.
I did get some more writing done, for a total of around 1,800 words. Also finished biochemistry. (All my professor's handouts are in Comic Sans. How am I supposed to study with those?)
asroc, Shara - progress is progress. It is worth even more when the rest of your life is insanely busy.
1,118 tonight. Hate every word of it. Events are lagging, and I'll get it in editing, but right now I'm feeling like this is Not Getting Where It Needs To Go Fast Enough.
Which I'd fix now, except I still don't know where it needs to go.
I've been AWOL for a few days and you guys are knocking the words out of the park. Awesome!
Managed to add some to WIP #1, The Riverwalk Murders. In the killers POV, which is always tough given that he is a psycho. Managed 549 and closed the scene. Now back to my good guy. *phew*
Well done, Ken. Glad you are back in the land of the sane for a while.
1,198 tonight. The more I have people yell at each other, the more I understand what the plot needs to be. Which is another way of saying oh, wow, am I going to have to edit the daylights out of this later.
Thanks, Liz, it does feel good to be out of that psycho's head, even for a little while.
Hope you feel better, Saoirse.
Really got into it this morning and knocked out 534 new words in Cal's POV. He's easy to read though, so not much of a challenge. Probably won't get much more, if any today. Have a Halloween costume party to go to tonight and have things to do and makeup to apply. Going as a "Walker" from a hit television series. (No, not Walker, Texas Ranger.)
Last day of the month and my first post in this thread. My main goal was to get my revisions done and the MS submitted to the pubs that requested it. So that's done. Will have to work on a reasonable goal for November, because my days are beastly right now.
Congrats everyone on your words! And have fun at your Halloween party tonight, Ken!
Ended on sort of a low note, with just 60 words yesterday. But I'm reaching the point where I have to go ahead and plot some things out in more detail.
