Heza - I know if you order from Musa you can get it in four choices of format. I don't know what they all stand for, but I download all of my books from them as epub onto my computer, then side load onto my Nook Color. That process used to be a pain in the neck until I downloaded a free copy of Calibre. Now it takes less than a second and there's no dragging and dropping. It's fantastic!

Timothy - that pool is delicious! You find the most interesting photos and I thoroughly enjoy them. Thanks so much.

Smish - If I do a cannonball, it will empty the pool, so you go for it.

So, the pool is in the lighthouse (or behind it), right? That makes it the coolest lighthouse ever!

Sissy, I'm so sorry I missed your release!!!! I'll post something on my blog tonight!

Ah, MWare, I understand you're pretty busy. I thought the pool was behind the house. Wonder what that was?

Thanks, Kidd!

Hey, dirigible buddies, I wanted to let you know that our intrepid Cap'n Timp's book, The Boy Who Howled, is featured on my blog today at:

http://readatouille.blogspot.com

in honor of its recent release in paperback!

Also, I'll be posting an interview with him on Wednesday the 4th. So exciting! I think this deserves a dip in the disco pool.

Congrats, Timothy. That's quite an accomplishment.

I agree. I know publishers are apprehensive about to printing anything right now. I can only imagine issuing paperbacks must be reserved for books they have lots of confidence in.

Big Congratulations! I vote you take the blimp out for a spin to celebrate, or at least break out the party lights for the lighthouse pool!

Now that midsummer's here I thought it was time to express my hope that everyone is enjoying the ride and assure you all there are clear skies ahead. :)

And never fear the flaming skies, Jed! There are plenty of fountains in the botanical gardens to cool off by.

Have fun, smish. The dragon fountains and I will be here with a plate of Florentines when you get back.

I call dibs on the wokavator next (though you're welcome to come along). Don't know where I'm headed though--I plan on just pressing buttons.

I don't know where you find these photos, but I'm jealous.

And I want to ride in the Wonkavator, too. Come back, Smiiiiishhhh.

Balloon-Race-2.jpg

Careful... don't hit the balloons, timp! The Great Forest Park Balloon Race is today. They sometimes go right over my house.

By the way, do you know why early balloonists carried champagne?

It was because back in the late 18th c., balloons lifted off in cities, but drifted into the countryside. The rural people didn't know balloon flight was possible. They assumed it was some sort of unnatural phenomenon, and attacked the balloonists with pitchforks. The pilots carried champagne or wine to prove that they were from a wine-producing area, and thus from earth and not demons from another world.
