Thanks so much, everyone! I'm still sort-of floating in a state of disbelief.

Asimov's Science Fiction arrived today with my poem, "Teaching on Mars", on page 55.

Just checked and the WotF blog is updated - I can spill the beans. 2nd place!!!

AWESOME, both of you!

And drat, that reminds me that my Asimov's sub has lapsed. Really need to take care of that soon. Will pick up the new issue on my way into work tomorrow :)

Congratulations!

I'm still waiting on my response from Dark Bits. At 112 days now.

Thanks. I wrote the flash for their call, so it was sweet they wanted it.

The acceptance came in on 6-29 (45 days out). On The Grinder people posted responses this week. One report shows a pending sub there at 122 days.

The Dark Bits page still lists July 2013 as the publication date.

Enjoyed your story in Nature.

Thanks very much for the heads-up, and glad you liked the Nature pub (or one of them :)

Mine is a reprint, which may be why they're holding on to it longer. Perhaps they prefer original material but will take reprints as necessary. I'll probably query when it reaches 120 days, if I haven't heard by then.

Wow - such great news on here! Congratulations everyone!

Throwing my wee bit in: 10 month acceptance to a small literary mag. I love in California called Sensitive Skin. I'm very pleased.

Hi everyone!

I've only just discovered this thread. Nice to virtually meet you all, and congratulations on all the recent sales / acceptances!

My latest news is that I've sold a story to Penumbra for their September issue: "The Fae" ...

All the best!

David

I didn't submit to the Fae issue but have a story being held in the 2nd round for the Hitchcock issue.

I have a story, METASTASIS, in the UK Newsstand magazine STARBURST, in the Aug 2013 edition. Pretty large circulation, on sale in most of the large newsagents and supermarkets in the UK so it's a sweet deal.
