Nothing to report here, just sending some hugs out to those in need

Started editing today. Did some super basic stuff on my first chapter and decreased the word count by about 18. It's kind of daunting, this editing stuff.

You are not kidding there, lindz.

Another few teeth-pulling bits of revision done. On my itemized list, I have 13 changes left. If I can average two a night, I can get this done in a week.

Well, after some trimming, ended up adding a meager 271 today. Yes, I know I shouldn't be editing until the book is done, but just couldn't help myself. Got stuck on what to write next, so went back over it and did a little house cleaning. It's much tighter now, and reads better. Now to the next scene with my serial killer. Up to 5820 now.

ETA: Added another 431 for a total of 702 today. Up to 6251.

Went through my first chapter again and fixed a few of the problems from my notes. Word count +9 for the chapter, though a lot was added and erased.

More revisions. I'm now left mostly with the large, vague changes: "tighten this part," that sort of thing. I am wondering if I randomly delete every third paragraph if it will still make sense. It is possible I need some sleep.

Got about 1,200 of a short story last night. Felt good to actually write again although I don't know how good the writing was...
