Quiet in the morning at my parents' - things haven't really got started yet., I have A Christmas Carol on the Kindle to read as believe it or not I've never read it before. Dinner, the Queen's speech and present-opening this afternoon, then not much active for the rest of the day.
I might write something in a moment. Just to keep the momentum going. I've taken too many days off this year.

Is it bad that, rather than going to sleep on time and waking up for Christmas, I'm watching the Home Improvement Christmas special episodes and working on character arcs for stories I began writing when I was still in high school?

Ugh. Yet another sleepless night for me. If only I didn't worry so much about not sleeping. It only makes it worse. I sees me some Valerian root in the future. I wonder if any drug stores are open on Christmas.

I would never abandon my beloved MST3K.
And I have to introduce Abby to the wonder of the show...
Wow did I lose my cool. I did not care if the were angsting teens whose mother was a heel. I finally had to park and go in to get them. I started grabbing their stuff and when we got back in the car I gave them real hell and then blasted music to keep from verbally murdering them or calling J to tell her what a screw up she was.
Yay, two hours I could have spent with family shot.
I already thought J was an airhead. If she thinks she can ask me for something again I will chew her out so bad she'll cry.
But other than that, food was good and cousin showed me her story
Y'know, there's a reason I am not spending time with family - if I wanted to do that, I wouldn't be seriously considering going back to London...
Look for the bright spots.

My jacket is mia and I'm driving home. It's 34. Stores are closed. No jacket. I have a good shell jacket at home but not a winter jacket.

Ion, it is now boxing day. On the day before Christmas, I was up in the tea room at the supermarket I work at, and heard that the bakers have already got the doings for hot cross buns in. I expect them on the shelve when I go in at 9am.
I find this slightly unsettling...

This date is historically a very difficult one for me, but so far I am holding up unprecedentedly well. I'm going to just cuddle up here in a blanket and steal some stranger's wireless as long as I want, then I have moar sewing to do before New Year's.
