All that waiting…and I'm out. Received my rejection today.

Waiting to hear (or not hear if they pass, as is their policy) from one more publisher and then it's off into the jungle of self-publishing.

Sorry to hear 4everwriter and GeoWriter... I know rejection can be disheartening, especially after all the effort put into your projects... a friend of mine had written a science fiction about a rather sensitive subject and a lot of people said it would never see print... guess what? It's now being published! So keep on trying!

I guess it's great that things are moving again, but I have to say, with all the rejections, I'm getting a bit nervous when I check my inbox!

There's a 350-day acceptance reported on the Grinder today, so it's not only moving, they're taking stuff. Good luck to anyone waiting on responses.

I got asked for a full today. I'd submitted at the end of December a sci-fi/fantasy/humor mash up mess. A genre turduckhen if you will.

I never got any kind of response on my withdrawal. I still assume I'm withdrawn, though I do keep popping back to see how everybody's doing It's nice to see movement finally!

Does anyone have any idea for how long these things normally say "In Progress"? Mine has been like that for months and it seems like there's been no movement whatsoever.

I don't think there is a 'normal' for this.
The lack of movement is due to Angry Robot being up for sale for much of 2014. The sale has gone through and they can now acquire again.

They've got a new editor now and by the looks of things he's put the pedal to the metaphorical metal on these, so I think we can all expect to hear something relatively soon now.

Mine's still down as 'Received', but I'm beginning to take the attitude that no news is good news.

Count me out. Got my rejection today. Probably time to put that book to bed.

Bummer on the rejections folks, but I guess at least the wait is over and you can move on to subbing it elsewhere or subbing the next thing! It's good to see they are getting through the pile quicker now that the sale of AR has gone through, and that they are acquiring new things too!

Yes it does look like they're powering through it now - which I suppose means you'll have to grab the reader's attention really quick to be in with a chance!
