I don't care about rats.. but guinea pigs are so cute and fluffy and they make little oinking noises and... and... THEY'RE CUTE!

Ahem. Do you eat pigs? Have you ever looked them in the eyes at the slaughter house? I have.

Cuteness is not a criteria for should not eat. Intellegence mayyyybe should be, but not always.

Plus, I had my first ale :D and I think going to a better-off country like Peru where I'm outside my confort zone has given me some trust. I have flirted a bit with both a late 30's Chilean woman and a mid 20's Belgian packbacker. Not sure if they caught up, or I did, but felt swell. :)

Now that's what I'm talkin' about! Good on ya, Max.

YOU EATED A GUINEA PIG!?!? :O

But... they're so cute!!!

According to the folks in AW chat...

I don't eat anything unless it was once cute. :e2teeth:

Mmmm, Bambi... er, I mean home-pepperonified venison. :tongue

Hmm. Is there anything off-limits? Like, would eating chimpanzees be a no-no? Or elephant? How about whale? I mean... C'mon, who sets the rules about what is an appropriate animal to eat anyways? I'm serious - back in Victorian England, there were clubs setting out to eat one of every known animal.

The plant of the tomato is toxic, not the tomato itself. That's where the rumor came up, but I think it was earlier, Regency perhaps.

Grandpa has cooked rabbits and roosters for lunch.

Where did you get the chance to eat walrus?

I've eaten a lot of crazy foods, but I will NEVER eat bugs. Unless they happen to fly down my throat, but I don't really have a choice in that case.

What, no lobster? Crab?

I love animals! I think most of them are delicious!

And while we're at it, when did the Cantina pick up a submarine? Why isn't it on the map? And more importantly, when do I get a ride?

Out of curiosity, didn't Victorian England also believe that tomatoes were poisonous? Or was that some other time and place...?

They Are poisonous. Well technically they are toxic. They are nightshades. This is why people eat fried green tomatoes not raw green tomatoes. Unless you are my idiot sister and only half fry them and whine about a stomach ache later.

Same reason you should cut the green off potatoes. Also a nightshade.

Nova Scotia is on the 'must travel to and spend a long time there' list. I want to see the seals. :D

A friend was telling me last night that if you travel about 8 hours north from Fargo into Manitoba (some lake, I think?) there is a polar bear 'safari' type thing in the winter. I really want to see that.

Crap. that leaves me out. I can do repairs, and I can get the candy. But I can't swim, so......

What? don't look at me like that! Why would a mountain girl need to know how to swim?

Grandpa has cooked rabbits and roosters for lunch.

While I admit those would normally be served for dinner, how is that odd?
