I sold my book to Random House!

Actually it's a YA fantasy trilogy, and the first one, A SHADOW BRIGHT AND BURNING, comes out in fall 2016[/QUOTE]

I'm so happy for you! Congratulations! It's so nice to hear good news!

I haven't been active on this forum for ages so I haven't posted about it on this thread, but I hope people don't mind if I announce here anyway:

I submitted my science fiction novel Belt Three to the HV open submissions window and they picked it up! It's scheduled for release as an ebook on 18 June 2015. There will be a paperback release roughly six months later but I don't know the details yet.

Congratulations to everyone else here who's sold their book to Harper Voyager (or Random House!).

Hey! We should have a reunion!

Anyway, my book is coming out on 31st March! Yay! It's with a small publisher but they've been great - great artwork, fantastic editing, good distribution - and I'm hugely excited.

This is my facebook page

https://www.facebook.com/theabendautrilogy

And more info can be found here:

Including an offer for the next couple of weeks, where preordered copies will be signed and come with a free ebook.

I'm also going to be doing some events in Northern Ireland if anyone's knocking around from there - details in the fb link.

Now, got that off my chest. Nestles down with a cuppa. What about the rest of you? Updates? Gossip?

So far as I know Harper-Voyager has returned no responses nor posted any public updates regarding their November 2015 submission window. Is that true? Have I overlooked any information they may have posted someplace?

I asked on their FB page and they said that those who submitted probably wouldn't start hearing news until spring.

Thanks Haunted_October. I've been curious what they expected for response times. triceretops and Chris Wright, the window was VERY short (4 days, I think) and very specific on sub-genre and length. Because of the restrictions, I'd been hoping for quicker than usual turn-arounds.
