Okay, I have been trying to have the gall to ask this.
For the last 8 months, I have been happily employed, almost consistently, at a copywriting firm via telecommuting. I have written content for a countless businesses ranging from microbiology tech firms to stationery businesses. It's been a ton of fun, and the boss is super pleased with me. I've even made it into their upper echelon of writers.
But the thing is, I'm a slow writer. I know I am. I wonder if that's Okay? If other people, like me, are relatively slow and methodical, and still successful at freelancing it? I am getting faster, but I wanted to check my speed against others.
For a 500 word article, with a topic about which I know nothing, I usually take about three hours including research, writing, revisions, SEO, and writing title and meta tags.
Is this completely off? I see that some people can write 500 words in 45 minutes and I have no stinking clue how that works out.
Keep in mind what I am writing is good quality content for businesses around the world; not just click-bait.
