I don't think it's the haircut....

Nothing about a woman having a collection of knives is scary, unless you're a guilty man...

Which, frankly, is a scarier thought, but given the monkish nature of my social life at the moment it's not going to keep me awake or anything.

So, took my friend the movie Always on DVD today (I gave her Love, Actually last week and promised this one). I told her it's kind of a tear-jerker and she said she was a sap for those kinds of movies.
Tomorrow she gets pork chops stuffed with ricotta cheese, a bit of garlic and butter, red and yellow bell peppers, and mozzarella and Parmesan cheese with a side salad of lettuce, red & yellow bells, Kumiko tomatoes (Japanese browns), and cheese, and a side of spicy Mexican rice.
No, I'm not fattening her up for a barbecue.

Well, to put this as delicately as possible in the open forum, at least with a knife you could see it coming, whereas if it's bit off, you were probably expecting different results.

Lunch put on hold. Her youngest had an accident on a trampoline this evening so she's on her way to Kansas City to be with him.
My God, she's been through one helluva' rough patch the last month - breakup, arrest (charges dismissed), step-dad hospitalized, and now her son, her youngest, possibly seriously injured.
Damnit, I wish I could be with her right now.

I'm going to be going crazy tonight with worry. My friend's got a 4 hr drive ahead of her as an anxious mother with a child injured at the other end of the trip. I just want her to get there safe and for her son to be safe too.

Sadly, yes. I have taxes to do and some other financial paperwork which has been neglected too long as is. And there is the omnipresent grading.
So, over my Easter Break (not Spring, that was weeks ago) I shall be laboring some.
But there shall also be fun, games, and much chocolate.
Well at least that last bit doesn't sound so horrible!
This weekend is going to be like the last, me sleeping or sitting around mindlessly staring at the TV and or computer, sadly I'll have to probably be without internet, so pretty much i'll be in hell for three days.

There was life before the internet, you do know this, right?
I mean, granted it was a dark time when we had to venture outdoors or write by hand, but we did survive. Barely.
