Writers Wanted for Parenting Website

Baby Corner is an online magazine for expectant and new parents. Our content is updated weekly and includes various articles relating to the early stages of family life.

We are currently looking for freelance writers to write articles between 500 and 800 words on the following topics:

Fertility & Conception
Pregnancy & Childbirth
Adoption
Infants
Toddlers
Parenting

Some assignments will include article rewrites.

We currently pay $35 per article. Payments by check or PayPal are made to the writer the same day the article is published (usually on Mondays).

You know, I don't remember. I think so. You do get the byline with a short bio. It has been a while since I wrote for them. I just remember that it was a very good experience.

I do have links to the articles I did for them on my blog if anyone cares to check it out.

So, if I want to write for babycorner, I have to send a query, with samples of my writing, but I've never had anything published. I've never before done any freelance work, but I'm kind of interested in getting started, and being a parent of 2 young girls, I thought this might be a good way to start, but I'm just not clear on what babycorner wants?

They mentioned the writer's pool...what is that?

Does anyone know if Babycorner are still accepting submissions? I can't find anything on their website - which incidentally keeps refreshing every couple of seconds.
