It was kind of funny at the time watching that bird tiptoe across those lily pads and lose her balance every few steps.

Osprey! Yay! We have a nest near us. They're beautiful. Photographers gathered recently--there must have been chicks.
That crow has some nerve! I can hear the osprey screeching in disbelief from here.Here's another couple shots I found. That crow wanted the osprey's fish catch in a big way.
I'd love to one day get a good shot of an osprey diving for its catch, just before it hits the water. Then get one of him flying off with the fish. I've tried a number of times but can't seem to capture it right.

That's been my problem also, exactly. And the only time I've ever come close to a decent diving shot was when I wasn't ready and reacted at the last second. The bird was close by and focused perfectly, only the rest of the scene is tilted to such a degree that it appears the osprey is diving sideways into the water instead of from above.
I haven't given up yet, though, and hope to get lucky some day.
That gave me an idea: I should post some of the worst shots I've taken to help balance out a few of the better ones.

We seem to get a lot of double rainbows around here.
Here's a shot I took of an enormous lizard stalking its prey.
Of course it was in the zoo, but I think it still counts.
It appears keenly interested in your little girl!
