Damn, SK! You keep amazing us all with your stunning photos. You need to send some of these in to National Geographic or Audubon!
I wouldn't have the nerve to send my stuff to those places, but It's nice to hear you think I should. Thank you. :)

(I'll share more white egret photos soon, which made me think of you when they were taken.)
SK, I love this photo. It is now my desktop.
It was kind of funny at the time watching that bird tiptoe across those lily pads and lose her balance every few steps.

The size of the file was reduced before it was posted here, though. If it's too small for your desktop, let me know and I'll e-mail a copy of the original to you.
Oh, and my brother's current wildlife interaction made ESPN today, lol! I had literally just watched it on youtube, and it came on during the NC State VA game:

Great clip! Thanks for sharing it here.
I don't know if you all realize this, but SK has gone to extreme efforts to bring us the finest in photographs--sometimes at great personal risk. For example, here he is trying to get that close up picture of the Haggisaurus he promised:

And here he is trying to get a different angle on the swamp:

You promised you wouldn't give away any of my secrets!

I was looking through iPhoto and found this baby Haggisaurus pic I took in S.C. a few years ago. He's not as pretty as your neighbors, SK, but he looks well fed. :)

A dark, evil place.

Here's another couple shots I found. That crow wanted the osprey's fish catch in a big way.

Osprey! Yay! We have a nest near us. They're beautiful. Photographers gathered recently--there must have been chicks.

That crow has some nerve! I can hear the osprey screeching in disbelief from here.

I'd love to one day get a good shot of an osprey diving for its catch, just before it hits the water. Then get one of him flying off with the fish. I've tried a number of times but can't seem to capture it right.

Stunning, SK.

Yeah, I watched that osprey hovering above the water, then diving and coming up with a fish. I think I even have a shot of him hovering, but it's blurry and far away.

I feel lucky if I can photograph a bumblebee without a blur.

That's been my problem also, exactly. And the only time I've ever come close to a decent diving shot was when I wasn't ready and reacted at the last second. The bird was close by and focused perfectly, only the rest of the scene is tilted to such a degree that it appears the osprey is diving sideways into the water instead of from above.

I haven't given up yet, though, and hope to get lucky some day. :)

Here's a shot I took of an enormous lizard stalking its prey.

Of course it was in the zoo, but I think it still counts. :tongue

It appears keenly interested in your little girl!

Must be because she seems so scrumptious. :)

It must be those cute little dimpled baby cheeks. Makes her look plump and tender.

Oh, wow. It seems as if the rainbows have helped to torch the field ablaze with light.

I wish the picture could have done it justice.

I think the shot was really beautiful, Wicked.

Wonderful shots on the egret, SK.

You people are making me wish that I had the money for a decent camera. :e2bummed:
