You and Me and the Devil Makes Three by Luis Alberto Urrea, Jess Walter, Aaron Gwyn and Benjamin Percy.

The Jess Walter story, Big Man, is the most entertaining short story I've read in a long time.

Be Cool - Elmore Leonard

Shameless Plug :):
He wanted to talk about the book and we wound up talking about the thing for the better part of an hour. He really liked the main character, Chili Palmer, who was, how did he put it? “Like,” Steve said, “he knows he could hurt somebody but he smiles and says, ‘Let’s be cool, everything’s cool.’ ”

. . .and then I told him that Leonard actually wrote a sequel to Get Shorty called, of all things, Be Cool, and Steve was tickled pink when he heard that, the kid, so sweet. . . - D. Brandt, CHERRY

Haven't read this one by him.
Will have to check it out.

Well worth it. The ending was, well, fucking astoundingly astounding.

Right now I'm reading The Devil's Breath - David Gilman.
It's good so far. Kind of a breather from all those cheesy books I've been ploughing through all week.

I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell - Tucker Max.

Okay, so the man is a toad, but he's a toad that knows how to write about (I'm sure at least somewhat embellished) anecdotes of his life. I could learn a thing or two about that sort of thing.

Just read Anna Dressed in Blood . So good. An agent used it as an example of great opening pages.

Reading Bitterblue then probably Tap Out after that.

Boooksss:)
