Giger.

That's one of those names I don't realize I know until I look him up. Birth Machine is what I think I recognize most from him.

Gorgeous stuff. You should totally take Abby to the museum, BW.

I never realized today just how many calories were in those little snack bags.

They are kind of... hefty.

*grudgingly hands over Cheetos*

My brain still brings up the wall of penises every time I think of his art - it is massive - I know it doesn't look like it in print, but... Good god, that is the height of some people's interior walls. When people talk about "in your face" art that is what they mean.

Gorgeous stuff. You should totally take Abby to the museum, BW.

I think it is in Amsterdam. There's also a medical museum of some sort which I have heard about there, so it is somewhere to consider before I drop her in the deep end of culture. The semi-serious stuff, at the least. I want to do the Jim Morrison pilgrimage as well.

*ransacks kitchen for Oreos and Cheetos*

Wait... A squirrel with an Oreo obsession. Strange.

J'onn J'onzz, is that you?

I've done the Ian Curtis pilgrimage. :)

*sigh*

So, so talented... :(

This is where I get maudlin and start thinking of all the places which have history that I should probably be a little bit more respectful of. The Curzon Place apartments (which British peeps will probably know all about) have been changed completely - there's little of the epic 60s and 70s aura in the building. I didn't get into Flat 9, but there wasn't a... IDK- a feeling of what had happened there. And the Cavern. This has probably been reported in the US music news, so it won't come as much of a surprise, but it is completely gone. The place calling itself the Cavern isn't.

Just to stand in front of the grave of someone like Jim Morrison for five minutes... Yeah, I'll take that. It may not be perfect, but it is the nearest I'm going to get to my favorite era of music.

I've been to F Scott Fitzgerald's grave.

It was in a very nondescript little cemetery, and yet treated like an altar with all these candles and such on it.

Ooo... Sparkles is so pretty and sparkly...

*accepts Cheetos with all the grace of a traditional Southern Belle.*

Why thank you! You are too kind!

*munches madly*

And, no, I'm not green.

*wonders what color settings would inspire such a question*

*packs bettielee in a Chinese take-out box and shoves it under the bar*

If anyone hears any teeny tiny noises coming from over there, it's not a fairy.

And it's definitely not a fairy in a box.

*whistles innocently*
