Just had a story short listed at a magazine today. Don't want to say which one, as I don't want to jinx it. But yay! After a series of rejections, a maybe is nice. :)

Congrats faerydancer! Being excited sounds reasonable to me. Of course I'm the one that ends up kinda proud of rejection letters, so pay me no nevermind :)

And I received my Bards and Sages Quarterly today. All the stories from the w1s1ers are awesome. It was fun to see yours Izz and Milo's and Alex's one after the other. Great stories and thanks to you all.

Thanks, Sagana :)

I just received my 50th submission response for the year... and it was an acceptance. Kaleidotrope has bought my story Plurality and will publish it some time next year.

In the last week and a half i've had 3 sales and an honorable mention in WotF (a couple other rejections too, but one of those was a personal R from Asimov's, which is pretty cool). This has been the most successful 11 day period of my writing career to date.

Guess i need to write some more stories now, too.

And Brenda, yay for the story hold!

Thanks, peeps! :)

I figure that's probably me done for a while. Definitely blows my 2 sales a year average out of the water :D

Congrats faerydancer! (I love it when editors tell me I'm short-listed; gives me a little something to celebrate, no matter how it turns out. But my fingers are crossed for you.)

Congrats on Kaleidascope, Izz!

Congrats Izz!

I have a small braggage of my own (in that the braggage might be longer than the story). The Drabbler bought my 100-word story "Chill" for their Climate Change-themed issue. It will be published on or around August 1.

Oh, and this was a W1S1 story, even if it was a very short one :)

Thanks!

Are Conga Rats the ones you fight when you are level 1 in World of Warcraft? :)

Even though I've never played World of Warcraft, I might be contractually obligated to like it after all the money it's made me :)

Aww, no love for WoW.

That makes it sound like you sell gold on WoW. Tut, tut. :tongue

And a round of congrats to everyone!
