Hey PD!!! You ready for Christmas?

I've got to get through tomorrow at work and then half a day on Tuesday and then that's it for me.

Yeah I guess I am ready for Christmas - everything is wrapped and under the tree, the goodies are made, the tree is up and lit.

Now it just needs to stop being so COLD

I just finished my last day of work before my book comes out. The next time I go, Vision of Shadows will be published!!!!

Plus I've got the next week and a half off!!!!

We dropped below freezing for the first time this season today--and it's colder now than it was when I went to work. The walk home was NOT fun, lemme tell you. It can get over this real soon.

Girlchild is doing fine. I like Boyfriend, which is good. Totally nailed the gift for him, which helps (especially since it was a last minute--I need to do this?!? present). IT was good. If I hadn't gestured too grandly and backhanded his SUV, it would've been a wonderful visit. As it is, my hand isn't broken, but it is all kinds of gorgeous colors and hurts to move, but I'm functional.

Gotta tell you, it's almost worth it to see people's faces when I tell them I backhanded an SUV.

One gift I got was from my wife. It was a business card holder. A really nice one.

If you can't read that inscription, it's from Walt Disney. It says, "All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them." Since becoming a published author has been a life long dream of mine that's about to come true it fits so perfectly.

I actually teared up when I realized what it was. Kind of wussy, I know. But it really got me.
