Okay, so, I'm new and the thought of a story a week gives me a searing case of the wiggins, but I'm going to try it anyway.

I'm certain I can write a story a week. I'm far less certain that it will be anything anyone anywhere would want to actually read.

So...wish me luck, and send me Xanax.

sarahthegrey - You can do it. I have found that it does get easier as the weeks go on and your stories will get better, too.

I may need to amend mine to once a month, also. I find myself starting many at a time, and going weeks without sending something out. Then, I send nearly five to six things out at once.

Can I count this as once a week? :D

If it averages out to one a week, why not? W1S1 works best when you tailor it to your specific needs and routines, and if that's what works best for you then go for it.

What s/he said. Or you can opt for the once a month plan, or the OMG-Life-Is-CRAZAZY-whenever-you-can plan, which isn't a real plan, but it's the one I'm on, and folks here seem to continue tolerating me :)

Also, welcome!

Thanks for the welcome!

I may end up amending it to once or twice a month. I spent today being about as productive as a spring deer staring down a mack truck, and I don't typically get writer's block. I'm really hoping it was just first-day jitters and not a total inability to produce under pressure.

Gonna give it solid week or two before I decide, though.

I need something like this, as I tend to write far more than I submit.

I want to join please, and I'm aiming for the weekly challenge. I'm hoping the more stories I write the better I'll get, but we shall see...

You lot have convinced me to try this. :) I actually just had two stories accepted, so I thought I'd try to ride that happy wave and produce more. I'm in for monthly!

I've held up to my original title, and have subbed TWICE a week for the last five weeks.

For those of you who're able to sub all the time (due to around-the-clock rejection) check out Rejectomancy. There, we ail eachother's pains.

I would love to try this, on a monthly basis. I'll get to work on selecting and finishing a story to submit! :)

I'd like to sign up for this. Definitely monthly, I don't think I can handle weekly! Maybe I'll get there someday. ;)

Ok that's it--I'm back in for monthly beginning with June.

I meant to focus on novels this year but production stalled a while back and I need to write something, anything, and accountability helps me do it.

So here goes! At least one story a month for the last half of the year.

Hi,

I'm new here, but this seems like a good idea. I never, ever finish anything I start, (including 2000 word stories, ffs.) and this might be a good push. (I've never submitted anything anywhere either, but the knowledge that the possibility is out there is an ominous sort of motivation. Some day! Er, soon, I mean. Soon)

Anyway, i'm going to try and finish a story a month. I actually managed a flash piece for May, and there's a half written 4-5k or so thing I'm going to try and finish in June.
