Please forgive me if this is in the wrong place. I've been working on an emotional piece involving an abusive relationship. Though the story has a happy ending I'm pretty much figuring it wouldn't be marketed as romance. So what do you think, would I peg it as commercial? I merely ask because as I get closer to finishing the piece I want to get my query typed up and have a list of agents to send to.

Assuming it's set in the real world, I'd slam a "contemporary" label on it and leave it at that.

Yeah, contemporary/commercial general fiction. Always good to have a happy ending on abuse. Readers like that because the news channel stories seldom end well.
