King Cray got himself locked up, alone, in a burning building. No one's fault but his own.

He also announced himself as permanent king. I am sure he will change his mind about that when he gets back here to see all the disappointed royals who have put up with "training" and "classes" all week just to sit on their haunches outside a place locked up tight.

I've no stake in being queen. Been there. Done that. Got the robes and tiara. But you likely won't see much of His Crayness for the next day or two. Even if he weren't in the burn unit, he generally doesn't put in much of an appearance on weekends.

Why not be an autonomous collective for the weekend?

Also, we are not the Borg. Nor the droids you are looking for, either. We are the Royals. We do royal things. Except when we are roasting the current monarch who has stepped on our toes. That may not be such a royal thing to do. But, in this instance I feel it is totally understandable.

Wow, that's one of the earliest handing over the crown - ever.

Ex-King Cray, You did a great job as monarch, and hardly any commoners or Royals were killed, injured, or maimed during your tenure. That's always a noble thing and looks good on your resume.

The sad thing is it's all downhill from here. I mean, there's really nowhere higher you can go in life now - pity that - unless Providence restores you to the throne at some future time.

At least you've chosen a Queen who will be fun, since her very name is a much-beloved children's game.
