I was wondering why there isn't a password coded Submit Your Work part of the forum exclusively for short fiction.

I am new to writing short fiction and although my genre in mainstream, I would really like to have short fiction aficionados' critique.

Anyone knows why that doesn't exist? Wouldn't there be enough interest? Or have I just been dumb and not found it?

There is a separate forum for flash fiction (defined there as 1000 words or fewer), but otherwise you'd post it in the appropriate genre forum. Mainstream SYW gets quite a few short stories.

thanks Marlys, that's what I thought. I was hoping there would be a specific forum, but I have commented on short fiction in the other SYW. Maybe one day I'll be brave enough.

Also, thank you so much for your feedback on the 200 words SYW. It made me feel thoroughly inadequate, but sometimes, this is just what I need to move my learning on. I think have vestiges of convoluted French style in me that are hard to fight back.

There are quite a few short story writers in Literary SYW and Mainstream SYW.
