The movie Wild Side has a great sex scene between Ann Heche and Joan Chen's characters. There's also a great lead up to the sex scene where they first kiss in a bathroom that's pretty darn hot.
The scene in Dirty Dancing is great because all their histoy up until that point is distilled into that one small dance.
Now that I'm trying to think of more, nothing's comng to me.
Ah well, at least I had a couple!

I thought it was Clooney, too!

And I kept thinking, well, if you had a choice of which bloke's gob to shove your foot in, wouldn't you choose the Clooney gob?

Well, I'd shove my foot in Tarantino's mouth. At least then he'd STFU.

As for Clooney...:D...[doesn't get banned]...

I do believe it was. I kept thinking the guy at the other end of the table was George Clooney...was I hallucinating? What film is that, anyway?
From dusk till dawn.

If a woman was to stick her foot in my mouth it would have to be someone equally hot as Selma. The whiskey makes it very tempting.

I always love the scene from Lady Chatterley's Lover, where Sylvia Kristel is dancing in the rain. Such innocent freedom, it's great.

The scene from Kissing Jessica Stein, where the two girls are talking to two guys in a bar, about what they find hot about two women together, is pretty hot.

You know, I've seen a trillion movies. I used to manage a few video stores when I was younger and I adore watching movies now..and I am really wracking my brain to think of a scene that gets me...and even though I am an intolerable romantic the one scene that stands out is the opening sex scene in
American History X.

It was just-I don't know, it felt real. It was hot.

If were talking about highly erotic sceens then why not try 'True blood' not many of the sceens get me as much as my favorite movie dirty dancing but they have good quality, and express the need and love between the two characters. I just wish someone else would play sookie.....>.<

Wait, before I do that, let me say this. I think in movies it depends a lot on the actor's and their chemisty. Some have it, some just don't. So much is said with body language, and with the eyes. I think everyone knows what it is like to get "that look" from their SO, spouse, lover, whatever. The one that says "I need you. I don't care about anything else at this moment. I. NEED. YOU. NOW." I personally never feel sexier, or more in the mood, than when my husband gives me that look. Doesn't matter what I am doing, or how I am feeling at that moment. It changes everything.

I agree I think it depends on the chemistry not to mention how the scenes are written. I mean if we're just talking sex-well anyone on film can do that-I mean we have the wide world of porn but to actually have a passionate love scene that evokes more than just a physical response it takes a delicate balance of the right chemestry, the write scripting, and blocking.

Here, there, everywhere.
I wonder what you all thought of the sex scene in The Piano, between Holly Hunter and Harvey Keitel (and Sam Neil snooping between the cracks on the wooden walls)?

There are a lot of good sex scenes in Unfaithful. But my favorite moment was after they have sex in the public bathroom (which sorry, just didn't do it for me).

Diane Lane returns to her table of friends and Olivier Martinez sits at the bar, alone. He takes his fingers and subtly smells them before going back to drinking his coffee.

In film, it's almost always visual. So having another sense in there, for me, was incredibly erotic.

I find it fascinating that when asked to list their favorite erotic movie scenes, no one in a group of erotic writers chose an explicit scene from an x-rated film. (Some NC-17s in there with slightly more explicit scenes than a regular R, but nothing close to 'real pornography'.)

It's interesting that those of us who have chosen to write about inserting Tab A into Slot A (or B or C) - using eloquent euphemisms of varying specificity, of course - consider it more erotic to hide that act in a visual medium.

I suppose for some it's that they haven't seen much hard-core film. For me, it's that while I've seen a fair amount, most of it is not about pleasing me. I'm not the target audience at all, and they don't do for me what a sexy conventional movie can.

I require a plausible story and some chemistry between people. I'm not aroused by skinny chicks with tats, fake nails, and implants bopping strangers. Especially since nobody seems able to act anything like the character they're supposed to be.

For me, that's one reason I prefer written erotica over film.

Maryn, whose mind-movies are good, too

I don't find it surprising at all, as the majority of erotic writers aren't writing at the x-rated end either (e.g. where 90% or more of the book is sex).
