Congrats to Mark on the success of the AP interview, to JWNelson on the pre-pubs, and to all with recent good news. And thanks to all for the kind comments about my recent story.

New news: The mystery/crime anthology Plan B Volume V went live today. It includes my story “Mysterious Private Investigations” (originally published in the private eye anthology The Shamus Sampler).

In addition to quarterly anthologies, Plan B posts a free-to-read story every two weeks. So it’s a great market for M/T/S shorts, a paid antho plus free-to-read exposure!

Best wishes,
Peter

PS - My story is slated to run free on the site sometime mid-summer. I’ll post about it again then.

Lucie, you're too kind. I'm active in a couple of AW short story threads (all genres) and a mystery shorts writers' group. These include writers who really have mastered the short form. I appreciate your encouraging words, but I'm very much the sorcerer's apprentice compared to those folks.

Best wishes,
Peter

Finally - my publisher just bought the 3rd book in my series, in a "nice deal." Frostbite will be coming from Barking Rain Press in March of 2016.

Excellent news! Congratulations, jesey.

Been missing in action for around a month, it's nice to tap back in and see that success has landed in the backyards of some of our brethren. Special backslap to my stablemate, J.E.

Make me dust!

Ijust wanted to say how much I've enjoyed putting together my shelf of AW mysteries and thrillers. Your books have been a comfort while I was in brain surgery recovery. If you have a book not mentioned in this thread, please post it here in the AW Library: http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=91
I buy one from the list each month.

I mostly have given up paper books in favor of digital—less dusty. So to prevent my house from being too neat to write in, y'all need to keep publishing. Make me dust!

what a whirlwind

My indie publisher saw so little to correct/amend in my crime novel, Joey's Place, that we will be releasing it this coming week (instead of later this spring) as an e-book and paperback. I have really enjoyed working with Gene and his editors at Moonshine Cove Publishing.

If crime/mystery writing with an historical fiction angle interests you or someone you know, then please check out this story set in Las Vegas in 1970, when there was still open desert along the Strip, Frank and Dino ruled the showrooms, the casinos took care of their own problems, and the cops just picked up the pieces. If they could find them.

Thanks!
