Did someone mention cows?

Congrats, Abby! Glad you finally got out of there, I bet BW is relieved also. New place sounds great. :)

I could go for a pub right now, any pub. I may not be able to walk tomorrow, my feet are so sore. :e2bummed:

Perhaps you could use one of those foot massager things...you know, the ones with rollers that vibrate? Foot pain sucks.

I don't have one. I don't even have water to soak them in, water is a rare commodity around my house and is to be used sparingly. :(

Do you have tennis balls or something of that same size? If you roll them with your feet back and forth from heel to toes it feels amazing when you have sore feet. Sort of like a cheap man's massage. :D

So, so relieved - the last apartment had me worried. And now that she has cable Abby can start watching all those classic films I keep telling her are pretty much essential viewing. :D

True Blood also counts as porn... :tongue

*adds to queue*

Not that I've seen the Wire, either. Or half a dozen other things, many of which I missed out on when I was overseas.

Though considering I saw my first political ad on Discovery last night, I might be turning the tv off anyway...

I have Netflix. We're in the middle of watching Magnum. :D

Anymore, I only ever watch local/network channels when there's severe weather in the area and then only long enough to average out the consensus of the channels that are coming in and of those, the ones that have weather maps up.

I ignore TV because of politics. And reality TV, if I'm allowed to bash an entire genre of programming (and all game shows made after 1975 or thereabouts can get added to the list as well). Why do you think I have so many DVDs - all the shows without the ads. :D

DVDs only get me so far. A number of the shows that both my daughter and I like to watch aren't made available elsewhere, or at least not in a timely fashion. (Looking at you, Discovery networks.)

Mostly I miss my DVR, where I can record now, watch later, and skip commercials. I've been promised one "soon."

Besides, I don't have the funds for all the shows I'd want on DVD.

My kids love the old stuff - Knight Rider, A-Team... They even like the Hulk, as old as that is. :D

Watching Magnum, S and I noticed a rather significant bunch of similarities between it and Burn Notice.

Wow. The minor resurgence of entertaining, if not spectacular shows, which ran in the 80s doesn't get talked about so much. I really do LOVE all that stuff... Street Hawk, Knight Rider, Manimal, Blue Thunder. Dear gods, the plots of those are beyond stupid, but the camerawork and acting - beyond wonderful. There are a few (Miami Vice, specifically) which have VERY good directors who went on to much better things, and even though the shows are eminently mockable, I find them to be relaxing. It is like a small slice of my childhood has been preserved forever. :)

Can't get with Burn Notice. The lead guy gives me the wigglywoos. He's so not a lead; he's a serial-killer.

Oldies? I like Quincy.

Maybe they need to put Michael Weston in a Thomas Magnum mustache?

lol! I used to watch Magnum PI all the time. I might have had a crush on Tom Selleck at one time...

House is good, though I rarely watch it. I've never seen Burn Notice.

The insults on House are comedy gold, which isn't surprising given the lead actor.

I had hoped that Stephen Fry would, at some point, turn up in the series...
