KT - grats!

Lily - RTed

Maryn - awesome!

RAB - I hate work stuff when it's not smooth. Dealing with that sucks. Hope the new guy prevails.

"SCJ" made it into my latest, which is now titled

Center Point

We'll know soon if it survives the editor's red pen.

RT'd Lily!

cindy - aw, being away from home and kids is tough. it will be fine though!

{becky} ugh, so frustrating.

I just got back from the nueropsych test results for O. Ugh. So hard. i'm just angry and want my old child back. i am trying really really hard to focus on the positives because there are so many, but i am so angry that the child i had two years ago, before all this started, has disappered in many ways. but, we have an action plan and we're going to work hard to get where we need to be. it's just so fucking maddening to have to try so hard for something that was just simply normal before this. Grrr.

but, in other news, got my second blurb for SV which was a very nice pick me up.

Thanks guys.

His seizures have been under control for almost 1.5 years, thankfully! Downside is that his medication causes a TON of problems. Lesser of two evils, no doubt. But school (and home) is tough for him as there are very huge behavior and emotional components to the medication side effects. We have no choice for now but UGH. He is a totally different child than previously. But, fingers crossed for it to eventually be better.

(((Jenn)))

xiao, that's not silly. I can have anxiety dreams about the weirdest stuff.

(((Rab))) Wow that's an awful working situation.

I'm co-presenting in my department tomorrow. Guess what I'm most nervous about? What I'm going to wear and if my hair will cooperate. It's so much easier than stressing about the talk itself. But seriously, what will I wear?

May, I'm the same way about presentations. I don't know whether it's a good distraction or not!

Sorry for the bad work situation, RAB.

Hi all. A quick early lunch check in. :)

(Rab) Sucky work dynamics suck. :(

((JennW & O)) - stinks. I have no words of wisdom, just sympathy and hope that in time he'll be able to go off the meds. Hugs to you both!

Xiao - they'll do fine! And yay for retreat! I am going to have to pull out of the one I was supposed to go to - work stuff anf complicated flight issues combined to make it just too difficult. But given my attempts to finish this draft and some other stuff going on, I'm disappointed but not crushed.

Tas - at some point, if you can't actually do your job (ie, without a computer), do you get to go home?

thanks, guys.:)

cindy - yes, we work very closely with a great neurologist. we do eeg testing every 6 months to monitor it. his last one was in january. i'm hopeful he'll outgrow it, even if it is years down the road. who knows, maybe not, but the hope keeps me going.

Almost always never where I should be...
We collected Sable today :)

The vet was astounded at her progress, and told us that given how she was just a few days ago she didn't think she would see her going home again. She has been dubbed by the vet staff the miracle kitty.

Tonight is crucial to her recovery. Without the IV in her she doesn't have constant fluids going in to support her damaged kidneys. She needs to drink enough to keep them going. So I'll be watching her closely. So far she's been drinking tons, so I'm hopeful.

Here's my beautiful girl home but exhausted.

Yay kitteh!! *fingers crossed*

Tas - I hate setting up computers, borrrrinngg

Heard back from my full today :( She loved my voice but the plot wasn't strong enough, but to think of her in future. She sounds lovely which makes it worse, but I'm actually OK with. Nothing a revenge query can't fix :D
