Back in 2001, I joined several different writing forums. Five, from what I remember. Two have since folded, three are still around, but of the three survivors only one--AW--is very active and I check in on almost every day (sometimes several times a day).
AW began with only three boards: screenwriting, non-fiction, fiction. Right away, though, I knew it'd be great and that I'd like it here. So I stayed.
I'm glad I stayed because I've learned so much about writing, and the people here are fantastic. When my sister died, so many rallied around me in support. When my bathroom was undergoing renovations, I had a good laugh from the posts on that thread I began. Good times and bad, I've had a lot of support from this community,
I plan on sticking around here for a long time, and I promise--I will stay calm.
