I wrote a story yesterday!

Woohoo!

(First thing I've managed to write beyond stream-of-consciousness ramblings about why I can't think of what to write in weeks.)

AND our pipes are frozen. No shower for me before heading back to work. I took the last week off because it was supposed to be the worst part of the winter. People at work laughed and me and said "How can you know?"

"Farmer's Almanac."

"Yeah, like that's gonna be right."

I've got some bets to collect when I get back, but that's not letting us flush the potty right now. *sigh*

Here's hoping none of the pipes have actually burst. After having to replace the furnace just before Xmas, there's no money for burst pipes, y'know?

Honestly, what is it with people using reps to correct someone's grammar?

It's not a private message system. Reps are there until they get pushed off the page by other reps. I can't delete them. I can't move them. Even after the correction has been made, the reminder that I accidentally typed "to" instead of "too" in a post remains.

Do people really have nothing better to do or say?

Well, at least you got points for it?

:Hug2:

We're writers. Typos happen to the best of us. I don't find it worth bothering unless one person makes the same error repeatedly, and even then, I still don't bother, because I have no way of knowing if someone else has already said anything.

You can ask an admin to delete it for you.

Or, the preferred way is to ask here for reppies so it'll get pushed WAY down there so you don't see it anymore. ;)

As an editor, and a grammar nazi, and an English teacher, I still generally don't point things out here unless they are egregious or a recurring error.

Although there are some posts I just want to take a red pen to, but I usually don't say anything about those because I'm too busy facepalming.

Mmmaaaayyybe. :D I hit 4,000 rep points, figured that was worth spreeing.

Man, I remember how long the climb to 1,000 seemed, and now it's like "oh, another 1,000 come and gone."

Yes, it is I, the girl who left and returned.

I finished college. Now I have free time again! *does the dance*
