I'm having a great newbie week on W1S1. I've subbed 3 stories (one new, two old that needed a re-boot) and got an acceptance yesterday for one I'd subbed a few weeks ago. Oh, and two rejections, but that at least signifies that I'm trying.

You guys are very inspiring!

Lillie, I had a chuckle at your sig line "I got a 21 minute rejection. Beat that!" Very impressive. I've always thought my four-hour rejection from last year was something special, but clearly I have a lot to learn.

My fastest was 4 minutes, FWIW, but there were Unusual Circumstances involved (like the Editor was sitting in a chair right across from me w/ her laptop.)

Yeah, that was quite funny. I sent it just after midnight (my time) and it must have hit the inbox at just the right time to be looked at straight away.

So then I immediately sent it to another fast market and it was back before 7 in the evening.

So, sent and rejected twice in the same day.
Poor little thing.

And as I've got bugger all else to brag about, I might as well brag about that.

Congrats! That's a nice way to start out.

I got an acceptance today from errant parent for a humor short I wrote last year. "Teach Kids to Stay Safe from Cannibals" will be appearing soon. :evil

A tiny braggage (which I've already mentioned and plugged into my sig).

Changling will be published at Cuento on July 16th. :)

More flash-sized braggage for me. I've sold my flash pieces Jingle Bells and Clockwork Elves and The Captain's Chair to Pill Hill Press for their 2012 Daily Flashes anthology, both as reprints =) The first isn't a W1S1 piece though.

Ha! That's the way to make those stories work! Sell 'em twice!
