Bad dust bunnies. Hit 'em with a broom. Clarence deserves better. :)

Dust Bunnies saw the broom coming and have claimed sanctuary with the mouse. Damn. Clarence does deserve better. He will have honey for tea.

The basement is... here. http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=203578 Wonderful place for writers who have lost their... um... minds.
I'm still looking for mine. I know I left it somewhere around here.... with my reading glasses...

I'm sorry, what's that last line say? Left my glasses somewhere and it's so tiny I can't read it. Oh bother...........
:D

You could borrow my glasses in return for the secret password . . .

So our world's dumbest criminal will probably only get charged with possession of stolen property, since there is no way to prove he did the stealing. It's all good, cause we know where he lives. :evil I'm talking like 20 giant steps from my house. He even stole from the car of someone in the same apartment building as himself.

Hubby gave his deposition to the police yesterday. We got something in the mail from the DA today. I haven't opened it yet since it's addressed to the hubs.

Um... its like... er... I'm not sure. Maybe it's like going on the Titanic memorial voyage.

Ice cube ahead!!!!

What?

Global warming is not a myth.

Oh, you said 'sanity'? That's easy. It's washing your hands before you leave the bathroom. :)

Why would you wash your hands after having a bath/shower?

I vote no, don't need it, but if you should, I hear Amazon has the corner on the market.

And Amazon will deliver it to my door so the people in white coats will not have to go out and get it. What a good idea!

No, no it isn't a good idea! All the other shops selling it will close down.

Gulp. You mean there will be no more sanity shops where you can go and see what sort of sanity you want before you buy it?

Yep.

Bugger.

Sooooo the thing from the DA was for hubby to fill out, a victim's impact statement. I think it needs some writerly touches on how distraut my husband is over all of this.

History, I hope that goes well. If you need any help, let us know.

And my husband has been inconsolable, crying into his whiskey. He hasn't watched hockey in days. DAYS!

Ah, if I wrote that about hubby, it would be total fiction. :D How about this:

And my husband has been inconsolable, crying into his Dr. Pepper. He hasn't watched his hunting shows in days. DAYS! I tried to hand him his snap-on impact and all I got was a blank stare. Oh..what? Thought that's what you meant by an impact statement.

Heaven forbid! Go wash your mouth out with a wee dram of single malt. :D

HS. If you have to make a verbal impact statement, remember that ...

So she should literally cry into her whiskey? Excellent. :D

I had a rough night, guys. My cat, who's about a thousand years old, has uncontrollable/barely controllable diabetes (depends on the day), is slightly asthmatic, terminally grumpy, and severely arthritic, had an episode related to his diabetes. I thought I lost him. He seems to be okay, but I haven't dared to give him any insulin. It's off to the vet today.

To make matters worse, Stella's spaying is today. Say prayers and cross fingers, please! She crashed on the table the first time, so we're really nervous.

Thanks, all. :) Sweet Stella made it through the spay with no trouble. HUGE relief. (She's come a long way from being the little dog someone thought of as trash, not so very long ago.)

The cat is okay, but we're waiting on blood tests. Looks like possibly wonky kidneys? In addition to the wonky insulin levels? My poor baby.

HJ, I hope your cat manages to pull through, though I'm afraid it doesn't sound very good. Fingers crossed!

Now the puppy playday makes sense. One last hurrah before the spaying. ;)

Seriously, I hope they both manage to come home before the weekend. :Sun:

So the kitty had an infection, coupled with issues around the insulin, and possibly some kidney failure? We're not sure. He's happier, and that's all I care about. :) Unfortunately, this is short-term, but who knows exactly what that means. I've been saying that for a year and a half now. I'm just grateful for every day I have with him.

Stella is much much better. She struggled yesterday, but we're improving by leaps today!

:hooray:

How's everyone else doing?
