After much more time and effort than I wish to contemplate, I have a draft of a novel completed from beginning to end in a vaguely manuscript-shaped configuration. I read through it and there are mistakes and continuity errors all over the place, but it is a reasonably coherent narrative for all of those flaws.

Having been through periods where I was genuinely unable to even work on it, it feels good to have it finally ready for the next step.

Hooray!

Finishing a draft is an accomplishment. With much work still to go, it's time to at least enjoy the moment.

Congrats on the draft, and here's to the next steps!

(Revision is fun; don't let anyone tell you otherwise. ;) )

Outstanding! So many start but never finish, this is a massive step. Well done.

Awesome! That's more than I've been able to do (though I'm hoping to have my first first draft done in a month or so).

Have fun in revisions :)

Congratulations! Now time to cut and shape your precious jewel, and polish it until it gleams!

Congratulations!! I found finishing my first draft to be bittersweet, but you can still "hang out" with your characters during the editing and polishing process! It's a big accomplishment, and you still have more to enjoy!

Congratulations! Take at least a month off before editing. You need space to see the problems. Print it out hard copy and buy a nice red pen. You'll do great!
